Role Description
This role is responsible for coordinating efforts to pull necessary reports for an assigned business unit. This will require the ability to understand reporting and extraction relationships within various data base tools.
- Pull data from multiple sources to assist the assigned business unit with daily tasks and provide business insight, including adhoc and scheduled reports.
- Partner with coworkers across teams to ensure best practices for data collection and analysis.
- Assist with the design, creation, modification, and review of database objects (tables, views, indexes, keys, stored procedures, functions, DB links, etc.) to support reporting needs.
- Partner with IT and developers as needed.
- Provide and automate data scrubbing and testing functions.
- Act as a domain expert and utilize reporting skills to run data sets for the assigned business unit team, including utilizing SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other various data tables and sets.
- Build an understanding of the company product lines, plans, members, and claims to fully understand business reporting needs.
- Create necessary reporting schedules and develop repeatable processes and measures of data quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer programming, social sciences, mathematics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an analytics type role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to dissect quantitative and qualitative information.
Requirements
- Moderate Excel skills with SQL reporting experience.
- Applied experience with healthcare data.
