Role Description

This role involves providing essential services to field staff and volunteers, allowing them to focus on direct ministry with kids and ensuring careful stewardship of the mission's assets.

  • Investigate and analyze business systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and document organizational needs.
  • Translate business process management and customer requirements into actionable specifications.
  • Ensure process, product, and project recommendations align with industry best practices and mission objectives.
  • Document and analyze project data, map business processes, and assess IT infrastructure to support organizational goals.
  • Develop infrastructure strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Facilitate the translation of business requirements into features, user stories, and development work items.
  • Bridge communication between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of technical issues and business needs.
  • Support process design, strategy, and implementation through documentation and execution.
  • Lead or participate in retrospectives to assess project successes and challenges, driving continuous improvement.
  • Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Grooming, and Sprint & Release Planning.
  • Act as a Scrum Master when needed, mentoring teams in Agile principles and methodologies while resolving impediments.
  • Effectively communicate functional requirements, including GUI, screen, and interface designs, when applicable.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and mission outcomes.
  • Conduct research, workshops, surveys, and task analysis to evaluate and report findings.
  • Leverage strong technical and business intelligence skills to transform customer needs into application and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate coordination between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Lead or assist in resolving complex project/program issues across all levels.
  • Participate in the change management process to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office, Product Teams, and Leadership Teams to implement best practices.
  • Provide professional status reports and deliver presentations as needed.
  • Work under the guidance of the IS Enterprise Architect while collaborating with developers, analytics teams, and product managers.

  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities, deliverables, and timelines with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years Salesforce or similarly CRM or ERP experience.
  • 3+ years direct work experience in a business analyst capacity.
  • Experience managing an agile backlog and translating requirements into features and user stories.
  • Proven experience with data modeling, database design, and query writing.
  • Experience documenting and communicating business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Salesforce Advanced Admin certification or willingness to gain certification.
  • Previous experience/involvement in Young Life or a large non-profit a plus.
  • Experience with SmartSheets, Jira, Azure and Asana desired.
  • Solid working knowledge of current technologies.
  • Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Experience in product delivery, software development and/or product development desired.

Benefits

  • The anticipated salary for this position can range from $59,800.00-$74,749.50 depending on relevant education, experience, location.
