Role Description

The Travel Reservation Support Representative assists customers with inquiries regarding their reservations, itineraries, and changes. This full-time remote position combines written customer service with office administration. Responsibilities include:

• Checking the current online booking and providing approved process information.
• Identifying the actual stage of a booking (quote, held option, ticketed or confirmed reservation).
• Referring discrepancies between provider records and agency systems to the travel owner.
• Maintaining confidentiality of travelers' private information.
• Routing questions about cancellation terms or travel requirements to the appropriate specialist.
• Keeping the customer's requested action and authorized next steps visible in the online case.
• Reviewing written booking and itinerary questions.
• Sharing approved confirmation or document paths.
• Recording change requests without treating them as complete.
• Flagging conflicting supplier statuses.
• Maintaining a clear correspondence history.

Training will be provided on the employer's booking system, references, and escalation processes. Accuracy with names and dates is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or office administration experience is an asset.
• Ability to accurately communicate and manage orderly handoffs.
• Experience in a travel agency is optional.

Requirements

• Ability to check the current version of a plan before updating.
• Understanding of time zones and their impact on itineraries.
• Ability to protect identity and payment details.
• Capability to keep proposed changes visibly pending.
