[Hiring] Sr. Collections Representative @Quest Diagnostics

Role Description

The primary function is to contact Hospital and Physician offices to determine the reason for payment delinquency. Responsibilities include:

• Negotiate and advise on the collection of overdue bills.
• Take appropriate action to recover overdue payments.
• Handle unresolved inquiries/issues related to unpaid invoices.
• Manage a portfolio of accounts that spread across all regions.

Pay range: $22+ per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare or insurance industry.
• 2+ years of experience working in a customer service environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Windows.
• Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) - Preferred.
• Laboratory billing experience - Preferred.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed based on department needs.
• 1+ year experience in Client or Third-Party insurance billing and/or customer service or AR collection experience - Preferred.
• 1+ years of experience working in collections - Preferred.
