Role Description

This position helps sort incoming messages from a company’s social media inbox and email, answer simple questions using approved information, and direct other requests to the appropriate team.

• Respond to questions about where to find published information.
• Handle requests needing a private customer service channel.
• Reply to routine comments with approved responses.
• Direct messages about orders or accounts to the relevant team.
• Follow up on repeated inquiries with earlier conversation history.
• Clarify unclear messages with focused follow-up questions.

Conversations are tracked using an assigned online inbox or record, noting the topic, reply sent, and any unresolved questions. Maintain visibility of messages moved to another team until the next step is known.

• Ensure different people’s messages are kept separate.
• Provide courteous customer service without overpromising.
• Use office administration skills for tags, statuses, and clear trails of communication.
• Learn assigned responses and routing categories if new to professional social inboxes.

Handle public comments and private messages according to employer’s channel rules, ensuring context is maintained during handoffs.

Qualifications

• Experience in written customer service communication.
• Ability to write short, professional replies.
• Office administration skills for sorting messages and maintaining status notes.

Requirements

• Comfortable using browser tabs and recognizing when questions are outside approved guidance.
• A private home office or suitable space for remote work.
• Part-time or full-time availability; actual hours and channel coverage will be confirmed.
