Role Description

The Service History Notes Assistant helps maintain a timeline of customer service records by entering confirmed milestones from approved sources into an online customer record and flagging gaps or contradictions. This role involves:

• Reviewing assigned correspondence and forms in an online case system.
• Entering confirmed dates and service milestones in the correct record.
• Distinguishing a request received from a request completed.
• Writing concise factual notes using the employer's conventions.
• Flagging conflicting dates, duplicate cases, or missing source material.
• Connecting a new update to the existing case when appropriate.
• Following access and privacy requirements for customer information.
• Providing a short exception list to the team reviewing uncertain cases.

This remote, full-time position requires a private home office or comparable setting to protect records. The employer will provide training on status labels and note standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer service, office administration, data entry, or written records is an asset.
• Beginners who can compare sources and describe a fact without embellishment are welcome.
• Comfortable with browser-based records.
• Willing to ask questions when a timeline does not make sense.
