[Hiring] Medicaid Support Specialist @Conduent

Role Description

We’re hiring a Medicaid Support Specialist who reports directly to the Outreach Supervisor. This role involves conducting presentations throughout the community on the New Mexico Medicaid Program, meeting with groups or individuals, and providing accurate information about the program. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting beneficiaries in enrollment and eligibility assistance for potential and existing New Mexico Medicaid beneficiaries.
• Processing eligibility applications and determining eligibility for the program.
• Entering eligibility information into a web-based computer system and referencing other NM-specific databases as appropriate.
• Following up with beneficiaries through correspondence, performing file updates as information comes in, and assessing service/information.
• Supporting the research process unit for the SBE (state-based exchange).
• Determining eligibility for NM Medicaid Program according to the NM Medicaid Care regulations/guidelines.
• Preparing correspondence for missing information and making outbound calls to obtain, clarify, or validate information.
• Maintaining an error rate of 5% or below while processing applications.
• Assisting/training new staff and helping in the call center when needed.
• Maintaining good attendance and punctuality while working independently on projects.
• Adhering to changes in policy and procedure and building relationships with the community and advocacy groups.
• Providing administrative support by performing processing tasks such as data entry, scanning, mail sorting, and similar activities.
• Occasionally going into the office if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
• Must be able to submit to pre-employment screening.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.
• Prior clerical/customer service work experience.
• Comfortable working within established processes and procedures.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
