Role Description

The RBFCU Consumer Lending Team is seeking a full-time Consumer Lending Representative starting at $20.00/hour!

The Consumer Lending Representative will have the ability to work from home after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the Staples location: 5253 S. Staples, Corpus Christi, TX 78411.

To successfully work from home, employees must have:

• A reliable home internet provider to hard wire a connection (Ethernet cable provided).
• A workspace at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction-free environment.

Bilingual in Spanish and English? Candidates can earn an additional $2.00 differential upon the successful completion of the RBFCU Bilingual Spanish/English certification.

As a Consumer Lending Representative, you will:

• Assist members and prospective members seeking consumer loans through primarily inbound channels (phone and video chat).
• Provide exceptional service while processing and finalizing a variety of consumer loans.
• Engage with members and prospective members to build relationships and identify needs.
• Educate members on products and services that will improve their financial well-being and quality of life.
• Demonstrate initiative and learn and grow with our Path to Promotion and award-winning Learning and Development program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Fulfill member and prospective member loan applications and inquiries and finalize/fund various types of consumer lending loans.
• Provide enthusiastic, professional, quality, prompt, and courteous service to members and others as appropriate.
• Discuss and recommend products and services to meet the needs of the member and the mission of RBFCU.
• Process paperwork and collect fees required to complete title work.
• Inform members of loan decisions and provide information for ancillary loan products.
• Maintain current working knowledge of RBFCU policies and procedures and regulatory laws.
• Include appropriate people in the decision-making process and make timely and informed decisions.
• Accept responsibility, follow through on commitments, and react well under pressure.
• Strive to meet or exceed department standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 9 months financial institution experience or 1½ years customer service experience.
• Must be proficient in utilizing PC, software, Microsoft applications, and other office equipment (type 25 words per minute and 10 key by touch).
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability and desire to work well in a team environment and develop strong working relationships with external parties.
• Good attendance, promptness, accuracy, and time management is essential.
• Must be able to work a flexible Monday-Saturday schedule (Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).

Preferred

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
