[Hiring] Account Specialist @Attain Finance

Role Description

The Account Specialist plays a critical role in preventing delinquent accounts from escalating into higher-risk stages. By engaging customers early in their delinquency, this role protects Attain’s portfolio performance while strengthening customer trust. Specialists balance empathetic conversations with firm negotiation strategies, using tools such as deferrals, restructures, and repayment schedules to preserve customer relationships while reducing risk exposure.

• Contact customers to negotiate repayment plans and prevent progression to late stage.
• Assess customer circumstances and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Escalate complex cases to Senior Account Specialists or Supervisors.

Hours of Operation (Eastern time):

• Monday to Thursday 8AM to 11PM
• Friday 8AM to 8PM
• Saturday 8AM to 4PM

Position: Remote - Based in Canada, with a preference for candidates in New Brunswick, Ontario or Nova Scotia.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of collections, customer service, or financial services experience.
• An understanding of lines of credit and how billing cycles work.
• Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining professionalism.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage customer concerns, settle disputes, and resolve discrepancies.
• Willingness and desire to learn from the best in the industry.
• Ability to work in a quiet, private place at home.
• Must be hardwired to your home modem using the provided ethernet cable.
• Schedule is set up quarterly; must be able to work full-time based on assigned shift.
• Strong knowledge of PCs, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are an asset.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with tight deadlines.
