[Hiring] Trade Compliance Specialist @Moog Inc.

Role Description

Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join them! You will have a remote work schedule near Blacksburg VA. This is a Regional Remote position for the Blacksburg VA team and will report to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager.

• Support the Operation’s activities in international trade and function as a subject matter expert in export regulations.
• Perform KYC/due diligence and Denied Party Screening.
• Assist with obtaining licenses and other USG authorizations.
• Advise the business on the export of goods and technical data.
• Ensure Moog’s compliance with export laws regarding shipment of goods, technical data, foreign travel, foreign visitors, Technology Control Plans (TCPs), and other international activities.
• Assist in building the culture of compliance and support the administration of the Company Compliance Program within the Group.
• Increase compliance awareness through support and training of personnel on all aspects of compliance (i.e., Denied Party Screening, etc.).
• Serve as a focal point for license/USG export authorization administration, including post-approval tasks such as kick-off meetings with program teams.
• Provide guidance and assistance to functional departments in developing or modifying existing processes and work procedures to ensure proper trade compliant actions are considered.
• Support domestic and international business travel, including regular travel to Moog’s Blacksburg VA location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with 3 years of experience or associate degree with 7 years of experience.
• Experience working in or supporting a manufacturing organization or similar role.
• Highly desired: An advanced degree in International Business or Engineering, along with trade-related certifications.
• Experience in contracts, program administration, or engineering.
• Direct export licensing experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, ATF, and OFAC.
