[Hiring] Grant Compliance & Monitoring Specialist @IEM

Role Description

IEM is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Full Time - Grant Compliance & Monitoring Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our compliance and monitoring initiatives, focusing on the thorough review of program documentation to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations as well as program policies.

• Document findings and communicate with team members to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
• Support day-to-day project management activities related to grant compliance and monitoring.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, including fraud, waste, or abuse.
• Possess strong ethical values, analytical skills, excel capabilities, and a keen eye for detail.
• Exhibit effective written and interpersonal communication abilities.

Primary Location: Live anywhere in the United States. Work from home or personal office location. Preference will be given to residents of Pasco County, Florida followed by Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher from an accredited university in a related field such as business, accounting, or project management.
• One – Two (1–2) years of professional experience in compliance, monitoring, grant administration, case management, or auditing.
• A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong MS Excel skills for reading and generating reports requiring complex formulas, pivot tables, and other intermediate excel skills.
• Strong written communication skills to produce clear, grammatically correct reports.
• Effective interpersonal skills to convey sensitive findings to management.
• Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality during investigations.
• Exceptional focus on accuracy when reviewing documentation to prevent any compliance gaps.

Requirements

• One (1) year of compliance, monitoring, or fraud investigations experience.
• One (1) year of housing experience or CDBG-DR experience, particularly with disaster recovery initiatives or other similar grant programs.

Benefits

• Salary based on location and experience: $60,000 - $70,000.
