[Hiring] VP, Strategic Business Partner @Precision AQ

Role Description

The VP, Strategic Business Partner (SBP) is accountable for developing new Precision AQ revenue opportunities within a limited set of existing larger Precision customer accounts by:

• Building strong client/stakeholder relationships
• Identifying high-value opportunities
• Promoting all Precision AQ capabilities
• Monitoring competitive/pipeline developments

This position reports to the SVP of Strategic Business Development and may include matrix management opportunities across the organization.

This position is accountable for:

• Developing and executing annual strategic business plan to drive new revenue and sales growth of all Precision AQ products & services as measured by sales bookings
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, especially at the senior executive level
• Managing client opportunities from prospecting to successful transition to Precision service lines for implementation
• Collaborating with Precision service line leads and account management staff to advance cross-selling opportunities
• Promoting Precision AQ capabilities and solutions through lead generation activities
• Informing/directing market research and analysis to identify trends and potential opportunities

Essential Business Development functions include:

• Creating ongoing client-specific development strategies and tactical plans
• Engaging life science clients to create and cultivate new relationships
• Actively managing the client sales cycle
• Preparing executive summaries and presentations
• Negotiating client deliverables and value-based pricing
• Maintaining and updating client records in Salesforce
• Communicating client needs and feedback with service lines
• Coordinating with Marketing and Sales Operations for strategic marketing activities
• Representing existing engagement resources at conferences and trade shows
• Directing analysis to identify trends and competitive landscape
• Contributing to pricing and competitive positioning for Precision AQ solutions
• Spearheading competitive assessment by tracking competitors
• Traveling up to 50%

• Serving as a role model within the Business Development team

Qualifications

• BS in business and/or marketing, or similar
• 20+ years of experience in life sciences company sales and marketing positions
• Successful track record in driving revenue growth
• Expertise in consultative, insight-focused, account-based selling approach
• Comprehensive understanding of life science customer experience strategies
• Demonstrated broad influence leading cross-functionally
• Experience in managing and developing teams
• Computer applications: MS Office applications

Requirements

• MBA/MS in business and/or marketing, or similar (preferred)
• Computer applications: Salesforce (preferred)
