[Hiring] Partner, Consulting @TNTP

Role Description

As a Consulting Partner at TNTP, you will sell and manage a portfolio of client engagements or contracts within our Consulting team and serve as a face of the organization to district partners, external stakeholders, and current and prospective clients across the Northeast.

This role is designed to strengthen and grow TNTP’s consulting presence in the Northeast by:

• Cultivating relationships
• Identifying and converting new opportunities
• Managing high-quality regional engagements
• Advancing innovative solutions to clients’ biggest challenges

Some responsibilities and duties include:

• Driving business development:
  • Building and executing a state- or multi-state growth strategy within the Northeast aligned to TNTP’s strategic priorities.
  • Building a strong network of Northeast external stakeholders, district and system leaders, funders, and cross-sector partners.
  • Understanding TNTP’s services to communicate effectively with clients and funders.
  • Listening to the needs of clients and funders to design services that meet their needs.
  • Designing strong budgets and staffing plans to maximize impact.
• Managing a portfolio of contracts:
  • Setting and executing a vision and strategy for meeting impact goals across a portfolio of Northeast contracts.
  • Effectively managing teams and fostering strong team culture.
  • Building and managing high-level client relationships.
  • Overseeing finances at the team/project level.
  • Monitoring impact through data collection and analysis.
• Providing organizational leadership:
  • Creating conditions for innovation and experimentation across teams.
  • Providing regular updates to the Managing Partner and/or VP on team/project performance.
  • Collaborating as part of a regional/divisional management team.
  • Building investment among teams and acting as a key leader in change management efforts.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and organizational policies.

The expected travel for this role is up to and including 40%, including in-person engagement with clients, partners, and stakeholders across the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience working in or with leadership at school districts, CMOs, state education agencies, or education-focused organizations.
• Experience cultivating, managing, and expanding external partnerships.
• Ability to develop a clear vision and purposeful strategy across a portfolio of contracts.
• Deep understanding of the education landscape and business development opportunities.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Strong experience leading academic and instructional improvement efforts in K–12 systems.
• Preferred: Experience designing and advancing systems of support.

Benefits

• Salary range: $137,920–$206,880.
• Starting salary typically between $137,920–$172,400, based on experience and qualifications.
