[Hiring] Director, Army Growth @The Arena

Role Description

As Director of Growth for the U.S. Army, you will be primarily responsible for driving growth and adoption of our client's technology and capabilities within the U.S. Army and affiliated groups. You will work closely with core engineering, research, and business development teams, directly supporting customers critical to national security. You will own prospecting, sales development, negotiation, proposal development, and implementation for Army customers, and travel to meet with customers on-site for sales meetings, prototyping, scoping, and implementing new solutions that support national security.

• Drive growth within the U.S. Army and National Guard from early pipeline development through contract execution and operational deployment
• Lead Army proposal development efforts, including RFP responses, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
• Build and manage relationships with key Army stakeholders, program offices, and acquisition decision-makers
• Identify and pursue high-value use cases for our client's LLMs and edge inference technology aligned to Army modernization priorities (C2, ISR, logistics, etc.)
• Convert early-stage agreements and pilots into larger contract vehicles (BAA, SBIR Phase II/III, OTA, IDIQ)
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate Army operational requirements and feedback into actionable roadmap inputs
• Develop and execute GTM strategy for Army accounts, including partnership and channel development
• Represent the company at Army forums, industry days, and with key intermediaries (AFWERX equivalents, AFC, PEO offices)
• Travel 25% of the time

Qualifications

• Must hold an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
• 7+ years of Army-adjacent experience — ideally a mix of operational/military background and defense industry BD or deployment roles
• Deep familiarity with Army acquisition ecosystems: AFC, PEOs, SBIRs, OTAs, and how programs of record get built
• Track record of driving adoption of emerging technology within Army or DoW enterprise environments
• Experience managing cross-functional delivery in forward or operationally complex settings
• Strong communicator who can translate between operators, technologists, and acquisition stakeholders
• Experience working with end users to scope user requirements, conduct user testing, and gain product feedback
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must be excited to support the Department of War and U.S. allies
