[Hiring] Business Operations and Growth Lead @Airbnb

Role Description

The Chief Business Officer organization plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and expansion efforts worldwide. Our teammates work on commercializing Airbnb’s new and existing businesses, helping Airbnb expand beyond its core offering as a place to stay. This includes:

• Recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and Services.
• Executing Airbnb’s global strategy in the market.

The Global Markets Team ensures that Airbnb is locally relevant and serves the needs of our global hosts and guests, helping regions efficiently plan and execute growth strategies across supply, demand, and other surfaces.

You will work closely with cross-functional leaders and teams, playing a key role in scaling our community growth and optimization-focused programs. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Programs and Business Operations.

A typical day includes:

• Aligning all functions to achieve Americas’s regional business objectives in partnership with the Director, Regional Business Operations and Growth.
• Owning the conception, execution, and measurement of cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
• Driving regular business operation meetings and initiating meaningful conversations.
• Using all available data sources and tools to analyze macro and micro trends.
• Assisting the Regional Director and Regional BizOps Director in owning the performance narrative for key metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of work experience, preferably with exposure to data-modeling, business analytics, and project management.
• Proven bias to action and ability to own a project from conception through to post-mortem.
• Ability to work in a world of uncertainty and ambiguity.
• Familiarity with AI, AI data analysis, and AI tools is an asset.
• World-class written and verbal communicator.
• Proven track record of storytelling, influencing, and rallying diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task by prioritizing work and coordinating support across various functions.
• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience implementing and scaling initiatives across globally dispersed teams.
• Hands-on approach, getting things done fast.
• Comfort with manipulating large datasets in Excel; SQL proficiency strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to dive into details to drive execution and zoom out to contextualize recommendations within the broader company strategy.
• Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments.

Benefits

• Base pay range: $168,000 — $203,000 USD.
• Eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
