[Hiring] Business Development Representative @Genesys

Role Description

As a Business Development Representative, you'll own outbound pipeline generation for Genesys' sales organization, identifying and engaging high-potential prospects across Brazil's contact center and customer experience market, including strategic and government accounts. You'll navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organizations, qualify opportunities against defined criteria, and partner closely with field sales to convert market interest into revenue-generating conversations.

This role puts you at the center of that mission, translating market and product expertise into credible conversations with senior and technical stakeholders. It offers direct exposure to enterprise sales strategy, mentorship from experienced reps, and a clear path toward senior sales or solutions leadership within Genesys.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pipeline quality and velocity by qualifying marketing leads into sales-ready opportunities through consultative discovery conversations that uncover buyer priorities and buying timelines.
• Build and nurture targeted account lists using internal databases, LinkedIn, and third-party data tools to identify decision-makers and key contacts within high-priority companies.
• Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, phone, and live chat to establish initial contact, build rapport, and progress qualified prospects to sales conversations, requesting referrals to expand reach within target accounts.
• Collaborate with field sales representatives to develop account strategies, execute competitive positioning, and identify expansion opportunities within the existing customer base.
• Maintain Salesforce as the single source of truth for pipeline accuracy, updating records in real-time with qualified activities, conversational insights, and account progression status.
• Engage with inbound inquiries via live chat and phone, qualifying, educating, and routing prospects based on fit and buying stage to ensure efficient handoff to sales.
• Apply structured lead nurturing processes to Ideal Customer Profile accounts not yet ready to buy, sustaining engagement to support future pipeline creation.
• Continuously analyze prospecting approaches, test new outreach strategies, and propose process improvements that elevate team velocity and close rates.
• Develop market and product expertise in contact center, customer experience, and voice of customer solutions to position Genesys as a thought partner, not just a vendor.

Qualifications

• Advanced to fluent written and spoken English proficiency.
• 3+ years of proven business-to-business experience in sales, business development, or inside sales, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in software or SaaS sales.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com and hands-on experience with prospecting and sales engagement tools such as 6sense, Lusha, Salesloft or Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and engage senior business decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple prospects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience engaging with government accounts and navigating multiple stakeholders within complex organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish language proficiency.
• Experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and analytics to track pipeline health.
• Familiarity with contact center, telecommunications, or customer experience industry; knowledge of industry terminology (IVR, ACD, CTI, contact center platforms).
• Growth mindset with strong interest in developing a long-term career within Genesys sales.

Benefits

• Build, support and operate AI-powered technology used by more than 8,000 organizations worldwide. 150+ new AI features were released in the last fiscal year.
