[Hiring] Business Development Manager @Intertek

Role Description

Intertek is actively seeking a Consulting Business Development Manager to join our People Assurance team remotely. This role involves promoting and selling consulting services in the areas of Food Safety and Organizational Effectiveness & Leadership.

• Manage the full sales cycle for new and existing consulting clients, from lead generation through opportunity closure.
• Respond to inbound leads, marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), and sales-qualified leads (SQLs) to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Prospect for new clients through outbound business development activities and generate qualified sales opportunities.
• Conduct discovery meetings with prospects to assess business needs and present relevant consulting service solutions.
• Support customer retention efforts by identifying repeat business and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
• Scope opportunities and prepare, deliver, and follow up on proposals to drive timely and successful deal closure.
• Maintain accurate sales records in the CRM system, effectively manage the sales pipeline, and provide reliable opportunity forecasting.
• Collaborate with the Business Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are appropriately scheduled and delivered.
• Build strong internal and external relationships by partnering with Account Managers, Senior Account Executives, Marketing, and other Intertek business units.
• Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings, traveling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting services related to Food Safety and Organizational Effectiveness & Leadership.
• Strong sales and business development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, core business hours with 25% travel.
• Base wage or salary range: $75,911.
• Individual compensation packages based on skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
