Role Description

The Beehive Project Developer is an independent contractor who will build and scale the Beehive Microgrid™ line of business, identifying a sustainable growth model, opening and growing revenue streams, and owning the overall revenue performance of the beehive business.

• Define how Beehive Microgrids grow into a self-sustaining business.
• Sell and rent mobile energy assets.
• Cultivate buyers and partners.
• Develop repeatable regional fleets.
• Work directly with the CEO on partnerships and growth strategy.
• Collaborate with HQ Technology Team and regional program teams.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in solar/clean-energy project development.
• A business development mindset with a track record of building revenue.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects end to end.
• Experience developing standardized, repeatable processes.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor.

Requirements

• Identify and build a sustainable growth model for the Beehive line of work.
• Own and grow the overall revenue generated by the Beehive line of business.
• Lead end-to-end development of regional Beehive Microgrid™ fleets.
• Manage project timelines, interdependencies, and delivery across multiple regions.
• Develop and run RFPs for equipment, vendors, and EPC/build partners.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and EPC/build partners.
• Help identify and stand up new and expansion regions.

• Independent contractor engagement (1099), ongoing and open-ended.
• Flat monthly retainer with potential for additional deliverables-based compensation.
• Occasional travel to regions/sites with pre-approved travel expenses reimbursed.
• Location preference: New Orleans, LA or Asheville, NC metro areas; open to fully remote for the right candidate.
