[Hiring] Account Director @Somewhere

Role Description

We are hiring the person who sits across the table from dental practice owners and tells them what to do next. Not an account manager. A consultant whose recommendations move a business.

Position: Strategy & Growth Director

Reports to: Founder & CEO

Location: Remote, South Africa (we are based in Austin, TX)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Central Time

Engagement: Independent contractor, paid in USD twice monthly, US holiday calendar

Compensation: USD base, shared expected salary range in the first conversation

What you will own

• Lead growth strategy for a portfolio of practices.
• Turn data into decisions.
• Own the relationship at the owner level.
• Set the quality standard and enforce it.
• Build the operating system the company scales on.

What success looks like

• Days 1 to 30: you understand the business.
• Days 31 to 60: you own a portfolio.
• Days 61 to 90: you are changing numbers.

Qualifications

• You have spent at least two years somewhere that demanded a great deal of you: a top management consultancy, an investment bank, a serious law firm, or a high-growth tech company.
• You own outcomes without waiting for permission, and you would rather be accountable than comfortable.
• You translate numbers into plain English.
• You think in structures.
• You write and speak with precision.
• You are already using AI in your work and are curious about what it can do next.
• You can commit to US Central business hours, Monday to Friday, as a real schedule, not a stretch.
