Role Description

The Website File Download Assistant checks that the right file is linked from the right page and that visitors can open it. This remote office administration role deals with document access, not design or software development.

• Ensure the correct version of files is published.
• Update links through the employer’s online content process.
• Compare file names, dates, or versions with those currently linked.
• Ask for clarification if instructions are incomplete.
• Protect visitors from dead links or outdated files.
• Record changes made for future reference.
• Confirm pages and check that supplied documents open.
• Test download links as a visitor would.
• Record mismatches in document links with sufficient detail.
• Seek guidance for documents containing personal information.
• Check visitor-reported download issues and pass details to support colleagues.
• Utilize a content editor, shared file library, and task list.
• Training will cover tools, naming conventions, and approval routes.
• No coding is necessary.
• Prior customer service or office administrative experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ensure the correct page offers the current authorized file.
• Maintain a list of completed and pending items.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining digital folders.

• Ability to write short explanations of problems.

Benefits
