Role Description

A website may show a product’s size, compatibility or included components in several places. When an approved specification changes, those pages need to reflect the same current facts. This role checks assigned product information against supplied source material and updates permitted content fields under the employer’s review process. You would not decide what a product can do, write technical claims from memory or publish a price change without approval.

• Work from an authorised source.
• Compare item number and version before making an edit.
• Save the source reference in the content record where required.
• Update tables, descriptive fields or downloadable file links in the online content system.
• View the public page to check that units, numbers and formatting appear correctly.
• Leave drafts ready for review rather than calling them published.
• Flag comparison pages for the owner if they are outside your editing scope.
• Refer stock or availability questions to customer service.
• Report missing diagrams or unreadable downloads with the page address and item reference.

This is remote office administration and website support from a home office. The employer will train you in its products, content tool and review rules. Previous website work is useful but not required. Attention to detail, comfort comparing documents and a willingness to ask about a conflicting source are more important.
