Role Description

The Trading Operations Associate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day trading activities, ensuring smooth execution of orders, managing risk controls, and maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong understanding of financial markets, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced trading environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crypto markets, trading processes, and operational excellence.

Assist in transactions across multiple cryptocurrency exchanges, ensuring timely and accurate order placement.
Monitor real-time transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management guidelines.
Initiate and approve on-chain and off-chain cryptocurrency transfers, adhering to strict security protocols, including DeFi contract interactions.
Support the trading teams with order routing, execution, and confirmation of transactions, including reconciliation of trades and interactions with DeFi contracts.
Identify and escalate any trading anomalies, market inefficiencies, or issues for senior traders or risk management teams.
Manage and maintain accounts across various cryptocurrency exchanges and DeFi protocols, including access controls, security settings, and API keys as well as smart contract interactions.
Provide support for managing and maintaining trade in the company's internal trade system and execution platforms.
Collaborate with internal teams (risk, compliance, finance) to ensure accurate record-keeping of trades and settlements.
Ensure that all trade data is recorded and reconciled across internal systems and external platforms.
Assist with the coordination of trade settlements, ensuring smooth fund transfers between counterparties.
Maintain and monitor market data feeds to ensure accurate pricing and liquidity information.
Assist with the analysis of trading volumes, market conditions, and price movements to help optimize trading strategies.
Support the development and execution of trading algorithms, bots, or other automated tools in collaboration with the tech team.
Ensure all trades and DeFi contract interactions and operational processes adhere to established risk controls, compliance protocols, and cybersecurity best practices.
Assist trading teams and the risk team in daily risk assessments to ensure that positions remain within acceptable limits.
Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure that all trading activities are in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Identify operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies and work to improve workflows and automation.
Assist in the development and testing of tools for trade monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
Contribute to process documentation and best practices for trading operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Fluent in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with colleagues across different locations.
Experience using blockchain explorers and crypto wallet management tools.
Strong understanding of cryptocurrency transactions, blockchain technology, and digital asset management.
2+ years of experience in finance operations, preferably in fintech, crypto, or banking.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment, including handling time-sensitive tasks and high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting tools and experience with data collection and analysis.

Requirements

Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including experience with or knowledge of multi-signature wallets, hardware wallets, DeFi contract security best practices, and common cybersecurity threats.
Basic programming knowledge (Python, etc.) is a plus to help with data extraction and analysis related to DeFi protocols and smart contracts.
Understanding smart contract security and common vulnerabilities.
Experience with financial reconciliation, accounting principles, and operational controls.
