[Hiring] Technical Solution Lead @TTRO

Role Description

We're looking for a Solution Lead to own our learning-technology work. That means large-scale learning platforms (Moodle and Surge9), how they are architected and governed, and how the partners around them come together as one working system.

You'll take over an established portfolio and hold it at programme level, across clients and platforms rather than one project at a time. The role is based in South Africa, with a global client base. You'll report to the Head of Product Development, with a dotted line to the Head of Solutions.

What you'll do

• Own the learning-technology solution across a portfolio of client programmes.
• Lead solutioning on new opportunities, including scoping, sizing, costing, and writing the solution narrative.
• Lead the technical scoping, architecture, and management of Moodle and Surge9 implementations.
• Bring infrastructure, development, data-visualisation, and platform partners together into one linked system.
• Work with the client leads who own each account, linking the learning-technology solution into the wider programme.
• Work closely with our Product team, shaping client solutions that draw on and feed back into our productised platform capability.
• Specify what each solution needs for the Delivery team to plan and execute.
• Build solutioning capability in others through method-sharing and coaching.

What this role is not

• This is not a hands-on software development role.
• Deep custom build sits with our development partners.
• Learning frameworks and methodology sit with our Skills and Capability team.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in learning technology, digital learning systems, ed-tech delivery, or technical solutioning.
• Moodle experience is essential; Surge9 or a comparable enterprise learning platform is an advantage.
• A track record of owning a technical approach across multiple engagements or clients.
• Client-facing solutioning or technical-advisory experience, including work with senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience scoping and managing platform implementations and governance.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure, development, and data-visualisation partners.
• Years matter less than evidence; fewer years with relevant experience are still welcome.
