Role Description

Cayenta, a division of Harris, is seeking a Technical Consultant who will join our Cayenta Managed Services (CMS) team within Managed Services & Technical Operations. As a Technical Consultant, you will help manage and maintain the technical environments that support our customers' Cayenta ERP and Customer Information Systems. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning how systems work, and taking ownership of customer environments.

• Work across system administration, database administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and customer support.
• Initially focus on on-premises customer environments, with opportunities to expand into Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud operations.
• Collaborate closely with other Managed Services team members and various teams to maintain reliable, secure, and stable customer environments.
• Demonstrate curiosity, resourcefulness, and ownership in problem-solving.
• Utilize internal knowledge bases, product documentation, logs, and AI tools responsibly for troubleshooting.
• Document solutions and lessons learned to assist future investigations.
• Participate in the team's 24x7 on-call rotation when required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, system administration, managed services, infrastructure, database administration, or a related technical role.
• Experience with or strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of system administration concepts in Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Some experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Curiosity and a desire to understand technical issues deeply.
• Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to develop trusted customer relationships.
• Experience using Jira, TeamSupport, or comparable ticketing/work-management systems.

Requirements

• Manage multiple Cayenta ERP and/or Customer Information System environments simultaneously.
• Perform SQL Server database administration and support environments that may also include Oracle.
• Monitor customer environments and proactively address conditions affecting availability, reliability, security, or performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution across teams.
• Perform regular system administration activities including product releases, patching, updates, and configuration changes.
• Build a strong understanding of each assigned customer's environment, configuration, dependencies, and operational requirements.
• Participate in cloud implementation or migration projects as experience grows.
