Role Description
Are you a highly motivated Electrical or Mechanical Engineer who works well within a strong team environment? In this role, you will oversee the design for facilities associated with expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third party engineering firms to ensure compliance with Company standards and specifications and industry standards and managed to the project budget and schedule. You will work with other Enbridge functional groups within Project Execution, Operations and Shared Services to ensure project and company requirements are achieved and incorporated into the design deliverables.
- Execute the engineering and design scope of core/major projects, from initial design to closeout and turnover to operations.
- Support the development of projects by providing technical, estimating and schedule input.
- Support the development/revision of tools, guidelines and specifications used to execute projects.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA.
- 6 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering and project management.
- Natural gas facilities design and construction experience, specifically large horsepower natural gas compression and metering stations for pipeline transmission.
- Experience at an EPC and/or Owner Operator company is an asset.
- Effective interpersonal skills to communicate technical issues and impacts to other technical and non-technical staff.
Requirements
- Office based role.
- 10-15% of travel to other Enbridge office and field locations.
- 25% during construction.
