Role Description

We are seeking a Director of Content Operations to join our Research Team. Our research team is the heart and soul of our business, responsible for scaling and maintaining our best-in-class grant opportunity database.

As the Director of Content Operations, you will:

  • Lead an International, Remote Team
    • Manage and mentor full-time and part-time remote researchers responsible for maintaining and growing our grantmaker database.
    • Provide training, feedback, and support to ensure high accuracy and productivity.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement.
    • Hire new researchers and scale the team.
    • Share progress and updates with the broader leadership team.
  • Drive Data Accuracy & Process Improvement
    • Develop, track, and analyze key metrics to identify performance gaps and guide improvements.
    • Design and implement procedures that enhance data integrity.
    • Adopt tools and technologies to streamline research processes and reduce manual errors.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance & Content Review
    • Validate grantmaking organizations, funding opportunities, and application criteria to keep information current.
    • Implement quality control measures—such as spot checks and peer reviews—to maintain consistent standards.
  • Provide Customer-Centric Insights
    • Partner with internal teams (Customer Success, Product) to understand member feedback and nonprofit challenges.
    • Suggest platform enhancements based on data insights and user research.
    • Align data quality initiatives with customer needs to improve the overall user experience.
  • Create Content/Add to our Database
    • Especially early in your role, you will learn by doing—building high-quality content for our database—so that you can train and coach your team.
    • Dive in to assist in month-end and quarter-end content pushes to reach goals.

You will report directly to Ellen Mowrer, the CEO, who has been with GrantStation for over a decade.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, even if you are based remotely.
  • English fluency is a requirement.
