Role Description

As a Spanish Video-Phone Interpreter, you will be responsible for handling calls on demand and rendering the meaning of conversations between Spanish and English speakers. This role involves:

• Breaking communication barriers across various industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Utilities, Travel & Hospitality, General Business, Law Enforcement, Court, and 911.
• Processing information quickly and concisely while recognizing sensitive cultural differences.
• Maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
• Delivering audio and video interpretation services and typing data on dedicated devices.
• Understanding and adhering to established interpretation protocols.
• Remaining calm during interpreting sessions, especially in emergency situations.
• Following client instructions and maintaining client confidentiality.
• Demonstrating commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English, with an understanding of cultural dynamics.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in the requested languages is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Dedicated personal device for business purposes (Desktop/Laptop/Tablet/Smartphone).
• High-speed internet connection with specified minimum speeds.
• Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain stationary for most of the workday.
• Must use a headset for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 26 lbs.
