Role Description

The Solutions Specialist – AVEVA PI will join the InSource Services team to support industrial software implementations across the United States and Canada. This role is ideal for a mid-level AVEVA PI professional with solid hands-on experience who is ready to expand their technical depth while working in real-world manufacturing environments.

• Configure and deploy AVEVA PI solutions
• Support system integrations and industrial data connectivity
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing client environments
• Contribute to successful project delivery from requirements through implementation
• Provide exposure to a wide range of industrial applications and technologies
• Create opportunities to take on increasing technical responsibility over time

Success in this role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, effective client communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with technical and project teams.

• Working knowledge of industrial data systems and manufacturing technology environments
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including OPC, MQTT, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP (ABCIP)
• Experience working in Windows Server environments
• General knowledge of networking, virtual server environments, and cloud-hosting technologies is preferred
• Ability to perform system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Ability to create clear and accurate technical configuration and deployment documentation
• Strong willingness to continuously develop technical expertise across AVEVA and complementary industrial technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with AVEVA PI
• Experience working with AVEVA PI Server and Asset Framework (AF)
• Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Experience with Windows Server environments
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including OPC, MQTT, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP (ABCIP)
• Hands-on experience with AVEVA SCADA technologies is preferred
• Experience with AVEVA System Platform, Historian, InTouch, or OMI is preferred
• SQL Server experience is preferred
• Experience with the AVEVA CONNECT platform is preferred
• Experience supporting software deployments within manufacturing environments is preferred
• General networking, virtualization, and cloud-hosting experience is preferred
• Ability to travel throughout the United States and Canada to client manufacturing facilities (approximately 30%–50% travel)
