Role Description

The Commercial Solutions Manager (CSM) provides negotiated costs to enable A & O IT Group to gain and maintain a competitive advantage. The CSM works within the Solutions Department, which is the main interface between Sales and Operations, representing the brand, working with prospects, customers, and partners managing all the service aspects of solution activities through a successful deployment.

• Proactively manages the complexities of large and major bids.
• Drives and develops the formal bid communication process.
• Coordinates the virtual bid team to assist in winning sales opportunities.
• Supports multiple stakeholders and provides quick responses and timely follow-up to their needs and inquiries.
• Offers creative and value-add solutions to ensure the Company obtains the best supplier deals possible for margin improvement on SOW.
• Acts as an industry subject matter expert, providing technical product details in high-pressure sales situations.
• Works closely with other Solution team members to provide a one-stop-shop for a Total Solutions offering.

This role will be fully remote and working UK office hours.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or MCIPS qualified.
• Some experience of influencing and negotiations.
• Previous proven experience in the IT Field Service industry, specifically in hardware remedial services.
• Experience in Bid Management, Customer Account Management, Operational Management, Service Management, Supplier Management, Transition Management, and Project Management.
• Experience in complex, multi-cultural, and matrix-managed organizations.
• Excellent supplier management and relationship-building ability.
• Results-driven with a sense of urgency and persistence in the face of obstacles.
• Strategic and visionary thinking skills.
• Ability to drive execution and continuous improvement in supplier relationships.
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly effective written and oral communicator.
• Experience in IT outsourcing, Desktop and other hardware Deployment, Service Transition, and Global audits.
• Hands-on management of solutions running simultaneously.
• International experience in delivering projects across multiple countries through multiple partners.
• Consultative approach and personable relationship builder.
• Proven ability to manage external relationships successfully.
• Effective stakeholder management and external market understanding.
• Ability to demonstrate successful influence over business processes without hierarchical authority.
• Broad understanding of technologies and market trends and developments.
