Role Description

The Solution Architecture Specialist - UKG serves as the primary technical and functional expert for UKG Pro Workforce Management and related HR technology solutions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing workforce management systems and integrations that support scheduling, timekeeping, absence management, and workforce analytics processes. The Specialist partners with HR, IT, and business leaders to translate strategic objectives into scalable, efficient system designs and configurations that enhance employee experience and business performance.

This position requires deep expertise in UKG Pro Workforce Management modules such as:

• UKG Pro Absence
• UKG Pro Advanced Scheduling
• UKG Pro Workforce Management (Hourly)
• UKG Pro Accruals
• UKG Pro Timekeeping Hourly
• UKG Pro Workforce Management Analytics

Along with a strong understanding of:

• HRIS best practices
• Data governance
• System integrations — including integration with SAP Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP)

Experience with SSO and Microsoft Entra ID integration is preferred, and knowledge of Zaddons or other shift bidding solutions is a plus. The ideal candidate is both a technical problem solver and a strategic advisor—able to drive innovation, streamline HR processes, and ensure system reliability and compliance across the global HR ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM).
• Demonstrated experience integrating UKG Pro WFM with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Microsoft Entra ID integrations preferred.
• Knowledge of Zaddons or similar shift bidding and workforce scheduling solutions is a plus.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, solution architecture, system integrations, and technology implementations.
• Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, testing, and ongoing user support principles and practices.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, including requirements gathering, implementation planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned applications, ensuring they function efficiently.
• Handle application configuration, updates, and user access management.
• Diagnose and resolve application-related issues, collaborating with end-users, development teams, and vendors as needed.
• Monitor application performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements.
• Create and maintain documentation for applications, including workflows, troubleshooting guides, and support procedures.
• Run regular audits and QA testing to ensure the application is functioning as required.
• Act as SME for the implementation of the module, hosting video conference calls, workshops, and other meetings as needed.
• Work within established processes to implement application changes, updates, or upgrades, including testing and validation.
• Coordinate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure application integration aligns with organizational goals and technology standards.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and Waterfall approaches.
