Role Description

The IT Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager reports to the Head of IT Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management Office (SVMO) and is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across a broad portfolio of IT categories. These include:

• Application development
• E-commerce
• Enterprise software
• Technical consulting
• Networking and data center hardware
• PCs, tablets, and peripherals
• Hosting services
• Mobile service providers
• Telecommunications

This role partners with business and technology leaders to understand requirements, evaluate solutions, and develop sourcing strategies that optimize costs, maximize value, and support the company's technology objectives. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing historical spend to identify savings opportunities
• Leading complex contract negotiations
• Developing strategic supplier partnerships
• Overseeing supplier performance and contract management

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, and lead cross-functional teams to define business requirements, establish sourcing strategies, and negotiate complex agreements and service-level commitments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT Purchasing experience
• 7+ years of IT Sourcing experience
• Must have experience working with large technology partners such as AT&T, CDW, Cisco, IBM, Insight, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, Verizon, and VMWare
• ITIL experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Ability to work in challenging and ambiguous environments
• Ability to communicate effectively with executives, clients, and team members regularly
• Ability to work across functional areas to drive continuous improvement
• Advanced experience with MS Office
• Experience in a team-oriented environment is essential
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and operational skill sets
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Strong Customer service skills and focus required
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Tenacious, driven, energetic and has a high degree of professional integrity

Requirements

• Reviews documentation and legal drafts of contracts/agreements, ensuring contractual/agreement requirements are met
• Coordinates work with various departments and serves as a liaison between Lennar Corporation and vendors
• Lead, mentor, and coach managers and specialists
• Promote career development and manage the performance of the team
• Review, draft, redline, and negotiate a variety of technology-related agreements
• Supplier relationship management, engagement, and continuous improvement of supplier performance
• Responsible for creating and facilitating the issuance and evaluation of RFP’s, RFI’s, etc.
• Ability to prepare and/or diagnose/interpret financial and other relevant analysis related to the product being sourced
• Negotiate and prepare contracts with appropriate terms and conditions
• Resolve conflicts or service level issues regarding supplier performance
• Excellent understanding of IT protocols and guidelines
• Effectively communicates program needs status with internal team members and external stakeholders
• Proficient understanding of procurement systems and functionality and procure-to-pay processes
• Effectively deal with conflict inherent in procurement and sourcing operations between suppliers and stakeholders
