[Hiring] Senior Environmental Planner @ICF

Role Description

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to support our Mountain West planning team. This role involves:

• Providing environmental planning, policy, permitting, and other services to clients.
• Preparing environmental impact statements and assessments for complex projects nationwide, including energy, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
• Managing environmental review processes, including consultation with regulatory agencies and public involvement.
• Conducting analysis of environmental, cultural, safety, socio-economic impacts, and specifying measures to mitigate adverse impacts.
• Providing federal, state, and local permitting and compliance for renewable and traditional energy projects.
• Offering technical services including biological surveys, air quality analysis, and noise impact assessments.

In this position, you will be tasked with:

• Planning and completing major project tasks related to the development and delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services.
• Organizing work on multiple projects and applying your academic and past work experience.
• Interacting with all levels of staff and clients, including experts in their fields.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key agencies and clients.
• Training, developing, and directing the work of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in natural or physical science, public policy, economics, environmental management, or related subjects.
• 4+ years of environmental consulting experience with clients in the natural resources, energy, transportation, and related sectors.

Requirements

• Experience preparing NEPA documents and environmental permitting.
• Experience supporting and serving on project management teams.
• Experience with developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and writing proposals.
