[Hiring] Regional Director @Replimune

Role Description

The Regional Director (RD) of Field Medical is responsible for regional oversight of the Replimune Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team. In this capacity, the RD will be responsible for recruiting, training, deploying, and managing a regional MSL team in support of Replimune clinical and business objectives. The RD will work closely with the National Director, Medical Affairs Sr. Leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and execute regional field medical activities in alignment with the overarching strategic plan. The preferred candidate will have significant experience working across therapeutic areas of relevance and the ability to serve as a leader/mentor for MSLs within the region.

• Deploy regional resources to support and ensure attainment of business objectives.
• Direct, coordinate and support the activities of the MSLs within a designated geographic region.
• Work cross-functionally within Replimune to identify, develop, and implement MSL strategies and tactics.
• Responsible for competitive business analysis and clinical positioning of a designated therapeutic area in the region.
• Assist the National Director with business and clinical strategy and tactical plan development.
• Maintain business and clinical knowledge of designated therapeutic area.
• Proactively analyze local and regional business needs.
• Ensure MSL team members maintain adequate communication and interaction with field colleagues.
• Ensure MSLs have the necessary tools, training, and materials to perform effectively.
• Provide consistent and timely feedback to MSLs regarding their individual performance and progress.
• Proactively address performance issues in accordance with Replimune’s guidelines.
• Ensure MSL team members update and maintain all required databases.
• Appropriately allocate resources to support franchise and business initiatives.
• Complete special projects with overall organizational impact at the request of the National Director.
• Identify new projects that will enhance business success.
• Serve as mentor and trainer for other managers and new hires.
• Identify opportunities for cross-functional integration of MSL roles.
• Communicate regional activities and results to the Senior Director and other cross-functional leadership.
• Ensure team member adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is strongly preferred.
• Candidates without an advanced degree are required to have at least 2 years of industry MSL team leadership experience in the therapeutic area, and 8+ years overall related experience.

• Leadership experience with direct reports is strongly preferred.
• Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to compile and disseminate information.
• Solid understanding of drug development and life-cycle development of a product.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with thought leaders.
• Willingness to travel.
