Role Description

The Proposal Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the bid and proposal process for Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) bids, including accurate, timely, and competitive responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and special projects for high-visibility, complex new sales and retention projects. This position requires a proposal professional with diverse skills, including:

• Strategic leadership
• Project management
• Writing and editing
• Process management
• Personnel oversight

The Proposal Manager will drive successful delivery of high-quality proposals in support of the company's aggressive growth goals and will interact with business partners and subject matter experts from all areas of the company.

Responsibilities do not include content development or library maintenance, though support and coordination with these needs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism, English, or another business-related field
• Eight or more years as a Senior Proposal Writer
• More than 5 years of experience with:
• Proposal writing and project management (ownership of the full process, not individual components)
• Pharmacy benefit management industry
• Successful support and coordination with a content team
• Development and maintenance of processes and documentation
• Advanced Microsoft365 app skills

• Demonstrated project management experience
• Advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong strategic understanding of pharmacy benefits and operations
• Strong interpersonal relationships
• Strong research/analytics and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
• Analytical ability to assess complex situations and exceptional creativity to provide solutions
• Ability to respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, and cross-functional partners
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without compromising quality
