Role Description

We are seeking a GLRI Program Coordinator to support our client, NOAA's Great Lakes Regional Collaboration Team, in the day-to-day management of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) - a multi-million dollar, multi-agency program spanning more than 170 projects and 30+ principal investigators across four NOAA line offices. This position serves as NOAA's first-line point of contact with the U.S. EPA, GAO, and other federal agencies on GLRI matters, and provides program coordination, reporting, and communications support to ensure the initiative's goals are met.

Qualifications

• Relevant field experience (e.g., environmental science, or resource management)
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Working knowledge of NOAA’s core programs and Great Lakes priorities and issues preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with social and web-based communications tools
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Experience with facilitation and outreach and engagement required

Requirements

• Plan and manage GLRI program reviews as necessary
• Plan and chair GLRI meetings for principal investigators, NOAA GLRI Working Group and Steering Committee and provide regular update emails
• Represent NOAA on the GLRI Communications Committee (EPA led working group)
• Serve as GLRI NOAA Point of Contact with U.S. EPA
• Oversee project quarterly reporting and conduct all GLAS reporting updates
• Provide all GLRI NOAA reporting within established deadlines
• Provide technical reviewer expertise for select GLRI projects/grant awards
• Support NOAA’s internal annual funding competition
• Support funding and quality assurance needs
• Coordinate exhibit booths and information for the Great Lakes as needed
• Maintain social networking activities as needed (i.e. Facebook)
• Provide computer-based technical communications such as Google Docs and the GLRCT website using appropriate and current software
• Maintain documentation of current GLRI work and projects, such as photos and short descriptions
• Provide team meeting support
• Provide support to Team working groups as needed
