Role Description

The Process Improvement Specialist supports enterprise-wide operational excellence by analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and helping implement practical, sustainable solutions. This role develops standardized documentation, tracks improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, and performance.

This position will be open to remote work site.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

• Review existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.
• Gather information from operational teams and subject matter experts to understand workflows, challenges, and business requirements.
• Analyze process performance and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and productivity.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, procedures, and process maps.
• Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures, workflow diagrams, reference materials, and related process documentation.
• Support the standardization of processes and best practices across departments and business functions.
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of approved process improvement initiatives.
• Track project activities, timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, and follow-up items related to improvement efforts.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to support process assessments and improvement recommendations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining KPIs, dashboards, tracking tools, and reporting materials.
• Monitor process performance, identify trends or recurring issues, and summarize findings and results.
• Support change implementation through meeting coordination, stakeholder communication, training materials, and reference guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process walkthroughs, working sessions, root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities.
• Research process improvement tools, methodologies, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Two or more years of experience in process improvement, business operations, project coordination, business analysis, or a related field preferred.
• Experience documenting business processes, developing procedures, analyzing operational information, or supporting improvement initiatives is desirable.
• Experience working collaboratively across departments or business functions is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio or comparable process-mapping tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with employees and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with the Director and cross-functional teams.

Physical and/or Travel Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to travel between office locations and project sites.
• Ability to access construction sites while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Benefits

• The range for this position has been established at $70,160.00 - $99,200.00 per year.
