[Hiring] Privacy Operations Lead @Deepgram

Role Description

Deepgram is looking for a Privacy Operations Lead to own the operational backbone of our privacy program. You will be responsible for:

• Owning customer and prospect privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and transfer impact assessments end to end.
• Being the technical voice in customer privacy reviews and vendor due diligence calls.
• Building and maintaining accurate data flow maps and records of processing across hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments.
• Translating GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging AI regulation into concrete requirements for engineering and GTM teams.
• Defining privacy requirements for product and infrastructure changes and driving them to implementation.
• Owning the operating model for privacy controls, including retention and deletion enforcement, DSAR workflows, and consent handling.
• Designing and running operational auditing and remediation workflows.
• Owning the subprocessor and vendor privacy review process.
• Owning privacy enablement through playbooks, self-service guidance, and training for various teams.
• Partnering with Legal on DPAs, SCCs, and residency commitments.
• Partnering with Security to ensure privacy and security evidence are produced and reused effectively.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in privacy operations, legal operations, or technical privacy and compliance.
• Demonstrated ownership of privacy operational systems at scale.
• Technically fluent and able to read architecture diagrams and follow data flows.
• Practical experience with GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, and awareness of AI regulation trends.
• Able to engage with Fortune 500 privacy teams or DPOs effectively.
• Clear writing skills for producing essential documents.
• Strong bias toward automating and documenting work processes.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and making defensible calls in unsettled legal areas.

Requirements

• CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/E, or equivalent certification (nice to have).
• Comfort reading code (Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript), writing SQL, or scripting tooling (nice to have).
• Familiarity with on-premise or colocation infrastructure and AWS (nice to have).
• Experience with ML/AI data pipelines and training-data governance (nice to have).
• Privacy work in a hybrid model (nice to have).
• Exposure to formal audits: SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS (nice to have).
