[Hiring] Presales Solutions Architect @Riskified

Role Description

At Riskified, we succeed when our merchants succeed. As a Presales Solutions Architect for Latin America, you'll be the technical lead in our sales process, partnering with Account Executives and Account Managers to win new merchants and expand existing ones. Before a contract is signed, you'll scope how Riskified fits into each prospect's checkout, payments, and order-management stack, and you'll project-manage the technical side of the deal, keeping the prospect's teams and ours aligned through discovery, evaluation, proofs of concept, and pilots. You'll also lead product positioning, demos, ROI analyses, and RFP responses for the region.

What you'll be doing

• Integration scoping and deal project management
  • Lead technical discovery with prospects to map their checkout, payments, order-management, and fulfillment flows, and scope how Riskified's products fit into them before contract signature.
  • Build integration plans as part of the sales process, covering solution design, data and API requirements, effort estimates, timelines, and owners, so scope and expectations are agreed before the deal closes.
  • Act as the project manager for the technical side of each opportunity, both internally and with the prospect: run technical workstreams and evaluation plans, track milestones and dependencies, and keep stakeholders aligned through to signature.
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Security during the sales cycle to answer technical requirements, close gaps, and remove blockers to a technical win.
  • Design and run proofs of concept and pilots, including success criteria, data validation, and results readouts.
  • Hand off signed deals to Implementation and Customer Success with a complete scope, integration plan, and documented commitments, staying involved as an advisor through kickoff.
  • Build repeatable presales scoping templates, evaluation plans, and documentation for the region, including Spanish and Portuguese materials.
• Positioning, demos, and deal support
  • Partner with Account Executives from first meeting through technical win and signature on new-logo and expansion opportunities.
  • Position Riskified's product portfolio against each prospect's fraud, chargeback, and approval-rate challenges, and against competing solutions.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations to audiences ranging from fraud analysts and engineers to payments and ecommerce leadership.
  • Build ROI and business-case analyses from prospect data that support pricing conversations and executive buy-in.
  • Own the technical sections of RFPs and security and privacy questionnaires for LATAM opportunities.
  • Represent LATAM market realities back to Product and Engineering, including local payment methods such as Pix, boleto, and OXXO, installment payments, and regional data-protection requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a presales role such as Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, or Sales Engineering, ideally in ecommerce, payments, or fraud prevention.
• Proven experience scoping technical integrations during the sales cycle and managing complex, multi-stakeholder evaluations; a background in implementation or technical project management is a strong plus.
• Strong grasp of APIs, webhooks, data flows, and common ecommerce and payments architecture, with the ability to speak credibly to both technical and business stakeholders.
• A track record of winning deals through demos, RFPs, proofs of concept, and business cases or ROI modeling; comfort working with data in SQL or spreadsheets is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the LATAM payments landscape, including local payment methods, installments, cross-border commerce, and regional data-protection rules such as Brazil's LGPD.
• Highly organized and proactive: you set clear expectations, follow through, and escalate early when something puts a deal or a timeline at risk.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills, with experience running conversations at varying levels of seniority.
• Fluency in English required; professional proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese strongly preferred.
• Based in LATAM, with willingness to travel occasionally for merchant and internal meetings.
