[Hiring] Power BI Administrator @Nexiva

Role Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to manage, administer, and support the Power BI platform within an enterprise environment. This role is focused specifically on Power BI administration and platform management—not Power BI report/dashboard development.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Power BI environments, workspaces, security, access, governance, deployments, and platform support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the Microsoft Power BI platform in an enterprise environment.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, users, groups, permissions, and access.
• Configure and maintain Power BI tenant settings and administrative policies.
• Monitor Power BI usage, capacity, performance, and platform health.
• Manage security roles, access controls, and governance within Power BI.
• Support Power BI deployments, refresh schedules, gateways, and connectivity.
• Administer and troubleshoot On-premises Data Gateway configurations.
• Monitor datasets, data refreshes, failures, and related platform issues.
• Manage Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity where applicable.
• Establish and maintain Power BI governance, standards, and best practices.
• Work with infrastructure, security, data, and business teams to resolve Power BI platform issues.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for Power BI users.
• Assist with Power BI environment upgrades, migrations, and platform changes.
• Maintain documentation related to Power BI administration, security, governance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as a Power BI Administrator / Power BI Platform Administrator.
• Experience administering Power BI at an enterprise level.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Power BI Admin Portal
  • Workspaces and workspace administration
  • User/group access and permissions
  • Power BI security and governance
  • Power BI Gateway
  • Dataset/data refresh administration
  • Tenant settings
  • Power BI monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity administration
• Experience supporting Power BI users and resolving platform-level issues.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 / Azure environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
