[Hiring] Philanthropy Officer @One More Child

Role Description

The Philanthropy Officer builds and strengthens meaningful, long-term relationships with donors and prospects who have the capacity and affinity to make significant philanthropic investments in One More Child. Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy, this role engages and grows an assigned portfolio within a specific region, engaging donors through discovery, meaningful engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

• Develop individualized engagement strategies.
• Build a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Secure annual, capital, endowment, Comprehensive Campaign, and other strategic commitments in alignment with donor interests and One More Child’s priorities.
• Serve as a trusted ambassador for One More Child.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, development, sales, relationship management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain authentic, trust-based relationships with individuals and organizations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and execute individualized relationship strategies.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
• Commitment to the mission, values, and Christian identity of One More Child.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly in assigned region.

Requirements

• Manage an assigned portfolio of donors.
• Develop individualized relationship strategies based on each donor’s interests, passions, capacity, and giving history.
• Maintain consistent, thoughtful contact with donors.
• Create meaningful donor experiences in partnership with organizational leaders.
• Personally solicit and steward 5- and 6-figure gifts.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate prospective donors.
• Build and maintain a healthy portfolio and pipeline.
• Participate in regular portfolio and pipeline reviews.
• Develop and execute donor strategies that align with organizational priorities.
• Provide donor insight and strategic direction for proposals and communications.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure a coordinated donor experience.
• Meet established fundraising and engagement goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in the organization’s CRM.
• Continuously develop knowledge of One More Child’s programs and funding opportunities.
• Travel within assigned region regularly.
