[Hiring] Merchandising Solution Consultant @Toolio

Role Description

Toolio is expanding, and we are seeking a Merchandising or Planning professional who brings strong workflow expertise paired with growing technical capability. In this role, you will guide customers through their full implementation journey, from early discovery and solution design to configuration, onboarding, and training. You will also contribute your insight to help shape our product and support the development of scalable best practices. This position is ideal for someone who excels in solution-focused conversations and understands how retail planning systems are structured.

Qualifications

• Experience in Retail Planning or Merchandising with a strong grasp of Open-to-Buy, Assortment Planning, and Allocation concepts.
• Thrive in collaborative, customer-facing work and bring energy to conversations, relationships, and problem-solving.
• Confident presenting planning or merchandising concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Passionate about the changing retail landscape and the role of technology in helping retailers succeed.
• Believe that spreadsheets are outdated and that better tools are needed for planning and merchandising.
• Desire to leverage planning and merchandising knowledge in a new and exciting role.
• Appetite to work in a fast-paced startup environment and wear multiple hats.
• Comfortable working with data tables and reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with merchandising tech stacks and integrations (Blue Yonder/JDA, O9, Netsuite, Snowflake, Shopify) is a big plus.
• Flexibility to work Pacific Time to better serve customers on the West Coast or APAC is a plus.

Requirements

• Develop deep expertise in the Toolio platform and roadmap.
• Lead discovery and solution design workshops that translate customer goals into clear, scalable workflows and configurations.
• Deliver train-the-trainer sessions that empower customer teams to adopt Toolio with confidence and independence.
• Guide customers through implementation and into steady state, ensuring strong adoption and smooth handoffs.
• Conduct product demos and provide strategic, consultative insights leveraging retail and merchandising planning expertise.
• Stay current on industry trends and leading practices to advise clients and evolve implementation strategies.
