[Hiring] Lead Domain Architect @Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana

Role Description

Guided by BCBSLA’s Reference Architecture, Standards, and Corporate Strategy, the Lead Domain Architect is responsible for guiding a domain’s technical roadmap to support future business and IT projects. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring sound, sustainable, and economically viable design.
• Striking the right balance between enterprise and functional needs.
• Aligning with BCBSLA Application and Technology Portfolios.
• Focusing on increased operational efficiency, reliability, predictability, and long-term economic viability.
• Reducing technical debt.
• Complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Computer Science, Information Science, Analytics, or other technical programs including mathematics, applied physics, or similar discipline required.
• Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• 7 years of technical leadership and hands-on technology implementation, including:
• Four years’ experience in software development, DevSecOps engineering, or systems administration.
• Three years of technical architecture or data management.
• Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Architecture practice, ALM, software development best practices and standards, tools.
• Expertise in three of the following domains:
• Data Architecture
• Data Delivery
• Data Governance
• Integration Architecture
• Infrastructure Architecture
• Cloud Computing Architecture
• Digital & Digital Marketing Architecture
• Security Architecture
• Healthcare Core Administrative Systems
• Enterprise Provider Management Systems
• Care & Disease Management Systems
• Enterprise Resource Planning - Finance or Human Resources
• Enterprise Customer Relationship Management
• DevSecOps
• Azure
• AWS

Requirements

• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Understanding of infrastructure and security requirements, such as HIPAA preferred.
• TOGAF certifications or similar.
• ITIL certifications.
• Vendor certifications.

Accountabilities and Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain multiple domain roadmaps.
• Support solution architects.
• Collaborate with enterprise business architects.
• Collaborate with business owners at all levels, transforming business requirements into solutions.
• Facilitate deep-dive technical discussions around design.
• Expose data to support metrics associated with Domain Architecture practice.
• Understand business application and industry trends in relation to the Payer Market.
• Act as Architecture SME for Architecture Review Board (ASRB).
• Provide architectural leadership for development efforts.
• Provide high-level analysis and design reviews.
• Work with vendors to integrate their technologies.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend updates to technology standards.
• Create guiding principles and standards for the domain.

Additional Information

Perform other job-related duties as assigned, within your scope of responsibilities. Job duties are performed in a normal and clean office environment with normal noise levels. Work is predominantly done while standing or sitting. The ability to comprehend, document, calculate, visualize, and analyze are required.
