Role Description

The IT Technical Business Analyst - Intermediate will be responsible for:

• Translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment.
• Defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, and project closures.
• Facilitating and managing business process development and process re-engineering workshops and sessions.
• Managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Successfully implementing IT solutions in an environment with project resources from across multiple teams or organizations.
• Drafting business and technical documentation with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders including vendors and across departments.
• Coordinating development and implementation of governance and issue resolution processes to improve Software Asset Management or a Software Catalogue for End User Workstations.
• Coordinating IT infrastructure projects for the Government of Alberta, either directly or for vendors supporting projects for GoA.
• Developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including at the executive level.
• Leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
• Leading change management and communication planning.
• Working in an enterprise architect environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a project management role.
• Experience with written and verbal communications.
• Experience in gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating development and implementation of governance processes.
• Experience developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
