[Hiring] IS Applications Epic Security Analyst @Providence

Role Description

The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Epic security, user, and provider records to ensure caregivers have appropriate access to perform their responsibilities while maintaining compliance with organizational, privacy, and regulatory requirements. This role manages:

• Role-based security provisioning
• User and provider onboarding
• Data imports
• Record maintenance
• Access governance activities across Epic environments

The analyst serves as a key resource for Epic deployment, implementation, acquisition, and optimization projects, partnering with clinical, operational, application, and project teams to support:

• Testing
• Go-live readiness
• Ongoing operations

Additionally, the role collaborates with:

• Identity and Access Management
• The Service Desk
• Other stakeholders to troubleshoot access issues
• Improve processes
• Enhance automation and efficiency
• Maintain data integrity
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Epic accreditation or certification (must be kept up to date) within 90 days of hire
• 4 years of Industry related experience

Requirements

• Certifications in software applications, technology infrastructure, or clinical specializations upon hire
• 3 years of Healthcare IS experience
• Epic experience
• Experience supporting Epic security, access management, provider records, or related healthcare information systems
• Experience managing large volumes of data while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
• Knowledge of user provisioning, role-based security concepts, and access governance principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
