[Hiring] Insurance Team Manager @Crawford & Company

Role Description

This role is to manage all operational matters relating to the Subsidence Unit for an identified team. This role will also be responsible for excellent service provision, cost control and overall management of people, resourcing and development within the identified team.

• Approx. 6-7 Direct Reports.
• Manage Subsidence Unit Operations for a designated team.
• Provide guidance and support to employees to maximize their potential.
• Act as a subsidence champion and referral point across the team.
• Coach, inspire, and develop the abilities of the team.
• Deliver excellence against key measures of reduced duration, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and proactively address employee issues to ensure high service delivery.
• Spend the majority of time ‘in the work’ with the Subsidence Advisors.
• Collaborate with Subsidence Field, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to improve the End to End claims process.
• Identify and monitor employee development needs and deliver appropriate learning programmes.
• Set the team plan and develop bespoke approaches for individual and team needs.
• Manage relations with internal and external parties to meet customer demands.
• Engage with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders to maintain and attract new business opportunities.
• Promote the Company ethics and values, focusing on customer needs and promoting clients' insurance brands.

Qualifications

• Insurance experience at Senior or Management level.
• Insurance claims handling experience.
• Experience in dealing with clients or client-facing within insurance.
• Knowledge of Insurance Principles.
• Detailed understanding of Client requirements.
• Understanding of people management.
• Understanding of budgetary management.
• Understanding of resourcing planning requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Credible team leadership skills to motivate team members.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships within the team and across the business.
• Demonstrates an action-oriented approach to understand and fix problems.

Requirements

• Previous or current Subsidence experience at Senior or Management level (Desirable).
• Insurance qualification to Certificate level essential – Cert CII/Cert CILA (Desirable).
• Experience of team management within the financial services sector (Desirable).
• Understanding of Building Construction (Desirable).
