[Hiring] Assistant Finance Business Partner @The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Role Description

To support the Finance business partners in the provision of comprehensive financial support and advice to budget holders and managers so that they can provide the best patient care within the limited budget resources available.

• Provide advice to budget managers including holding regular meetings.
• Provide analysis from the ledger and other systems to support financial monitoring and control.
• Facilitate accurate reporting through reconciliation, journal processing, and monthly financial ledger close.
• Responsible for supporting the delivery of comprehensive financial management services across designated divisions and departments.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budget monitoring, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Assist Finance Business Partners with budget setting, recovery plans, efficiency programmes, and year-end accounts.
• Ensure the accurate processing of journals, accruals, payroll adjustments, and other financial transactions.
• Work closely with budget holders and managers to provide financial advice.
• Investigate and resolve financial system issues.
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships and support decision making through timely and accurate financial information.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives, financial training for non-finance staff, procedural documentation, and audit requirements.
• Promote sound financial governance and budgetary control across the organisation.
