Role Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our Financial Technology (Fintech) offerings. Reporting to the Director of PMO, the Business Analyst develops requirement documentation to translate business needs into solutions that deliver organizational benefits. They work independently across multiple medium to large Agile features across the project lifecycle. This role has a strong backend focus, working with system integrations and file-based data movement across platforms. It involves critical thinking to ensure effective system impacts, active facilitation of Agile ceremonies and prioritization conversations, and building strong relationships between business partners and technology teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Business Analysis
  • Develops business analysis artifacts (user stories, use cases, business models, needs and features, etc.) to document “as-is” and “to-be” requirements in an understandable and presentable format.
  • Elicits, analyzes and validates the business needs of stakeholders, customers and end users.
  • Interacts and drives technical teams to translate functional specifications into technology solutions.
  • Validates the solution (people, process and technology) meets the business capability, product or system objectives.
  • Identifies and communicates risks and issues to Product Owner and Scrum Master that may require changes to scope.
  • Partners with the project manager to create a project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project schedule.
  • Supports project management activities including tracking execution progress, monitoring delivery timelines, and flagging risks to keep work on schedule.
  • Participates in System and User Acceptance Testing for confirmation that define requirements and business solutions have been delivered.
  • The chosen applicant will help assess and document business requirements and turn those into solutions that bridge the gap between user requirements and system functionality.
• Typical Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work together with business and technical developers to transform business needs into technology solutions.
  • Arrange, lead, record, and take part in business requirement meetings.
  • Create and assess processes, checks, user needs, and functional requirements to find gaps between the present state and the desired future state.
  • Document user stories, functional requirements, architectures for business data, application, and technology needs and rules.
  • Model and design business processes, logical data models, standards, and guidelines.
  • Keep track of issues and efforts to fix them while guaranteeing technical compatibility and end-user satisfaction.
  • Enhance current business procedures, reports, and software applications through analysis, development, and proposal of changes that would increase system effectiveness.
  • Ensure reporting compliance and conduct follow-ups with important people to guarantee data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical technical business analyst experience.
• Working knowledge of IAM tools like SailPoint and others.
• Strong background in creating technical documentation and/or training.
• Strong experience of helping project or technical teams in a BA capacity or other roles with similar responsibilities as those described above.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
