Role Description

The HEOR summer intern will actively contribute to various HEOR projects supporting HTA submissions, real-world evidence generation, literature searches and evidence synthesis during pre-launch/launch phase. The intern will work with cross-functional teams and interact with key internal stakeholders as well as external vendors to improve the clinical value demonstrations and value propositions for lifileucel.

  • Investigate optimal research techniques and implementation strategies to ensure timely understanding of the burden of disease, unmet need, and the economic, humanistic, and clinical value proposition of Iovance’s commercial products
  • Support for HEOR projects – assist with literature reviews and evidence synthesis; cost effectiveness and budget impact analyses.
  • Interpretation and communication of findings to internal and external audiences
  • Investigation of optimal HEOR methodologies for long-term economic evaluation of lifileucel
  • Contribute to the study design and/or execution of methodologically sound HEOR and RWE studies

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing Masters or PhD degrees in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Pharmacoeconomics, Epidemiology, Health services Research or related discipline.
  • Strong academic record (with a GPA > 3.2) with a record of core HEOR foundational course work and/or research methodology training
  • Research experience in HEOR related studies through school or prior position
  • Detail-oriented, a self-starter, and comfortable with broad responsibilities
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to apply critical thinking in authoring and/or reviewing protocols, analytic plans, reports, publications and other study documents to ensure quality and completeness of output
  • Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented with exceptional interpersonal and time management skills
  • Keen interest in learning and sharing knowledge
  • Good oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and succinctly via email, Teams, and Zoom
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience and competency in using MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Statistical analysis skills in R, STATA, SAS or Microsoft Visual Studio C++.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a graduate degree program at a US institution. Candidate shall not be graduating sooner than September 2025.
  • The summer internship program will commence in May and last 12 weeks.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to move about inside an office and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, and extensive reading.
  • This position requires repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information.

Mental Requirements

  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analysis, and discretion.
  • Ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional workplace or remote office environment and requires standard office equipment and keyboards. Employees who work remotely are expected to maintain their workspace and environment safely and free from safety hazards.
