Role Description

The Franchise Business Coach (FBC) owns the franchise owner relationship from grand opening through the life of the business — and owns it differently than anyone else in franchising. This role is equal parts operator and mentor, focusing on:

• Coaching both the business and the person building it.
• Maintaining exceptional operational standards through disciplined EOS® coaching.
• Delivering a coaching experience that reflects the French Florist brand.
• Partnering closely with various teams to ensure franchisees receive consistent support.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Coaching & EOS Implementation:
  • Serve as the primary business coach and trusted advisor for an assigned portfolio of franchise owners.
  • Run EOS® disciplines in the field to help franchisees set and reach ambitious goals.
  • Translate company systems into successful day-to-day business execution.
  • Facilitate accountability conversations focused on outcomes.
  • Maintain a territory performance dashboard for accurate forecasts and performance summaries.
• Field Visits & Operational Excellence:
  • Conduct regular on-site visits, business reviews, and operational assessments.
  • Host structured pre- and post-visit meetings with clear agendas and action plans.
  • Evaluate client experience against brand standards and coach owners to close gaps.
  • Provide hands-on support during new store openings and key brand events.
• Financial & Performance Analysis:
  • Analyze key performance indicators and financial data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop action plans to enhance revenue, margin, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor franchisee performance against benchmarks and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Partner with Compliance and Finance on documentation and compliance needs.
• Training Reinforcement & Brand Standards:
  • Reinforce operational standards through coaching and in-field practice.
  • Monitor completion of required learning pathways and assess retention during site visits.
  • Identify learning gaps and communicate recommendations to the Learning & Development team.
• Whole-Owner Coaching & Relationships:
  • Coach the whole owner — the business and the person running it.
  • Build genuine, high-trust relationships with franchise owners.
  • Practice radical candor to support owner success.
  • Deliver attentive care to franchisees as expected for their clients.
• Cross-Functional Partnership & Field Insight:
  • Bring field insights back to HQ, including trends and franchisee feedback.
  • Partner with Marketing to refine local marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to a culture of understanding franchisee experiences at HQ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in multi-unit operations, franchise consulting, or business coaching.
• Hands-on experience running EOS® or equivalent operating-system experience.
• Experience analyzing financial and operational performance data.
• Experience in a franchise, multi-location, retail, or hospitality business model.
• Track record of building trust-based relationships with business owners.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel regularly for site visits and training.
• Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods.

• Effective communication via video conferencing, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for business travel.

Compensation & Benefits

• $90,000 - 102,000/year + up to 10% bonus based on performance.
