Role Description

Johnson Controls is seeking an EH&S Coordinator to serve as the operating backbone of the Office of the Vice President, Environmental Health & Safety, and a coordinator of enterprise EH&S programs for the broader organization.

• Reporting directly to the Vice President, EH&S, responsible for supporting the daily operation and effectiveness of the global EH&S function.
• Manage the Vice President's calendar, travel, meeting cadence, and executive materials.
• Coordinate data, reporting, training, audit, compliance, and communication processes.
• Ensure safety data is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Support Johnson Controls' journey toward becoming a high-reliability, gold-standard safety organization.
• Ideal for individuals eager to grow their EH&S career and gain exposure to diverse operations and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in EH&S coordination, EH&S administration, or executive support.
• At least two (2) years supporting a senior leader (Vice President level or above) or an EH&S function.
• Working knowledge of EH&S programs, incident management, and injury recordkeeping.
• Strong data management and analytical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, project coordination, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

Requirements

• 10% Domestic Travel.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or Construction certification (strongly preferred).
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or active progress toward certification (strongly preferred).
• Experience using enterprise EH&S management systems such as Enablon, Cority, Intelex, or VelocityEHS.
• Experience supporting environmental, health, and safety leadership teams and enterprise-level safety initiatives.
